The soft sole is not for active toddlers on hard ground.
My son is 2 and we have been using these boots for 1 day. I love the height, pretty easy to put on, feel warm and my son loves it. BUT they don't seem to be for heavy hikers or hard surfaces. Both heels were chipped and he'd only worn them for a few hours. So disappointed.
