My review of the Virah Bella Valencia Awning Stripe 6 Piece Duvet Cover Set was harder to think about just because the fabric is so airy and light. Although this duvet cover is similar, it's easy to appreciate because the duvet adds the weight I would expect from a duvet cover. It's a striking gray ticking print that's as simple as smoothing it down a bit and saying bed's made. There are six ties inside to hold the duvet in place, but they should be about an inch longer. The zipper is great. It is narrow gauge and almost disappears when closed. Don't be afraid of cold metal surprises. Although very lightweight, it adds shape and comfort with a light to medium weight duvet inside. I've used it with two very different comforters; one consists of 90% high-quality white goose down, the other from ASHOMELI with high-quality one-piece polyfill filling. As expected, the synthetic blanket is able to dissipate heat and maintain a more constant body temperature. I like down, but in this case it was too warm even in late Maryland fall, night time temps in the mid 40's. Honestly, if you're a neutral sleeper or a little on the warm side, this $40 comforter is a steal.
