This is one of our 18 year old men's FAVORITE PRODUCTS. He loves meat for texture and sauce. I just wish the ingredients were better. Budget wise, yes, it's better than many discount cat foods, but it's like ordering a veggie burger at a fast food restaurant; it's better, but it's still cheap, nutrient-poor food. However, as this is the old cat's preference, we allow him to eat it as a "starter" and try to persuade him to eat better food for the main course. The first ingredients are water, beef, and liver, which is nice, but there's wheat, soy, and corn! Not ideal for predominantly fleshy species. I've never seen a cat prefer bread to meat in my life! Result? The vet and I both agree that this is normal but could be a lot better.
