I bought this rug for my horse to use as a sheet in the fall before it got cold enough for his winter rug. She's not too picky about her comforters, so I expected this fleece sheet to last at least two weeks until the temps dropped. I was wrong! First, the waist straps were thin, leaving the straps hanging down for her to step on. When she stepped on it and cut a 3-4 inch hole in the side, I sewed it together and chalked it onto the fleece. The next day I found her in my stable, tangled in what was left of a blanket. --one leg through the hole, neck still attached to it. It was DANGEROUS. Luckily, I check in on her so often I doubt she's been around that long. As mentioned, she is not picky about blankets and has never been before, so I believe the quality of the blanket is to blame. I would not recommend this to any horse owner!
