If you need good picture quality, it's better to use any mobile phone manufactured within the last 5 years. But for this camera to work, it has HDMI output and night vision for less than $60. I've used it and it works great. rant below vvv However, being a fixed lens camera, the subject is always a little blurry. All colors look very desaturated and lose their low brightness when even moderately bright. You can't believe you're actually seeing the color of what you're writing. I took a video with the same camera, the video shows what I mean (hard to tell but I see the full high and low brightness rainbow in the video). Not only am I picky, there's definitely something odd about the colors because if I hadn't set the ISO white balance or exposure manually, the camera would be constantly trying to adjust for goodness knows what reason. I think the sensor is just cheaply made.
