I wear 6.5. These are the only shoes I’ve ever had to size up for. 7s would usually work if half sizes aren’t around. We bought a 7 and an 8. The 7s toe box was on the right side. Not uncomfortable but we worried thick socks would be an issue. Since I already sized up this was surprising it was so snug. We kept the size 8 (daughter wore them I’m still looking for the right pair for me) and after a couple wears, the size 8 lining relaxed and became roomier. Too roomy for me for long term as my foot slides around. I have borrowed them for shoveling snow but if I wore them all day they would be too loose and can’t run in them. They are good for cold, we camped this week in 2*F and did need toe warmers for all day but my daughter didn’t complain otherwise. They’re cute and very comfortable besides the size issue.
