Review on Efficient Recording Solution: VoiceTracer DVT4110 - Perfect for Lectures and Interviews by Michael Glassburn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best device of its kind (see details). Highly recommended

Before the current conditions that made face-to-face meetings almost delayed, I angrily took notes during meetings. first on notebooks, then on Surface and finally on a laptop. While it was possible to record dialogue and work items of meetings, it wasn't really the same as the actual content of the meeting (when people forget what they agreed and such). Easy you think. Just use your phone to record. Easier said than done when it comes to a 20' x 7' conference table with people on the phone. Okay you say. just get a dictaphone - only I've learned from my own bitter experience that dictaphones are far from being a commodity. Enter: Philips VoiceTracer Audio Recorder for Lectures and Interviews DVT4110! I'm ashamed to admit that I tried other recorders before the DVT4110 - mainly because I was trying to find the cheapest unit I could get away with. However, I chose the DVT4110 because it was the only one that really recorded all the conversations in the different environments I used it in. Finally, I believe this is a must. In addition, the operation is intuitive, the display is much more informative than a single-line LCD and the device itself is quite durable. Battery life is decent, but I think the main reason it doesn't last as long as I expected is the screen. I used an old v10 SD card that I had on hand, so this may require more power than just using the internal flash. I haven't used the remote control feature, but I think it would be useful in larger rooms. Highly recommended
