Our little one chews and destroys straws. Silicone is always chewed in pieces that will come loose or hang by a thread, which of course is unsafe to swallow. Hard or soft plastic is smashed by its teeth so that it almost collapses. After weeks of searching for new straws I came across these! Was very excited after reading the description and reviews and seeing some photos. The straws are not round at the swallowing point which I wanted to try as our little one smashes others and thought he could be more comfortable. Pros: I LOVE the colors. The length is optimal for children's cups. Until he either can't or won't chew those straws anymore! Not sure if they call for a form/feel fight as he still bites others or if they just put up a good fight when he does. Cons: Thickness consistency is not uniform throughout the straw. The drinking area and the floor, where the point is, are decent. The inside where the straw flexes is a little but weaker and with a seam there I'm worried about durability. It's good that there is a straw cleaner, but its length isn't enough as it doesn't go all the way from one end of the straw to the other. This means you can't slide content into another, you can only slide it towards the center if you brush on both sides. For this reason I will not use it and will have to use another straw cleaner, a few centimeters longer than the one that comes with it. At this point I would buy again. I would like a no kink set as an option and also in different lengths.
