Great price for a 2017 MacBook Air - delivered as advertised - works fast and like new

I needed a laptop for a family member who streams videos, uses a few favorite websites and has some great music and collection photos . The new MacBook M1s seem too powerful (and expensive) for our needs, so I found this refurbished 2017 MacBook Air at a surprisingly good price. Delivery was four days earlier than promised (always a good first impression) and after updating the system to the latest version of macOS and the app I checked the serial number and label on the case to make sure they were delivering what what they advertised... They did. The keyboard and touchpad work great, and even without the latest-gen display, the brightness and clarity are excellent. The system works quickly and smoothly (so far), and the only sign it's not a new device is a V-shaped scratch on the back of the coin-sized case (pictured above). I don't spend much time looking at the back of a laptop, and neither does the person who ends up enjoying their new (refurbished) MacBook. (If there are no problems in the future and it continues to work just as well, I might just buy one if the prices stay this attractive...) Important note: The available free hard drive space is actually half the amount stated in the Revain description. It has a 256GB SSD, but 128GB of it is reserved for the system image and installation partition. So if you need 500GB of storage, buy one with a terabyte drive.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • some little things
