Review on 🐢 Fisher-Price Little People Animal World See 'n Say by Jason Fanney

Decent but impractical

Bought this for my 18 month old to practice his speaking skills and so far I'm loving it (haven't gotten it out of the box yet). The lever twitches slightly and the audio is (super) loud and clear, but I don't plan on letting my son use it alone now, just for learning purposes. One thing you need to know is that you must FIRST point the arrow at the image you want to hear, otherwise you'll pull the lever and hear an animal sound that doesn't match the image the arrow left off. Because of this, you can't pull the lever back and forth and expect to hear a noise; You need to change the position of the arrow. That hiccup aside, this is a cute toy, especially for less than $10! I would recommend! Update: Now that we've unpacked the toy and played with it a few times, I've noticed that it's very frustrating to use. It is very difficult to hold the device with your left hand and pull the lever with your right. There is a handle, but it's on the top of the toy rather than the left side where a person can have a firm grip before attempting to pull the lever. It is also very annoying that you cannot turn the lever back and forth. You are forced to keep pointing at another animal, and as the arrow spins, it points at another animal. I gave 3 stars because all sounds work and match animal sounds.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Unreliable
