When I took them out of the box I was very disappointed that the speakers looked pretty cheap and really lowered my expectations for the sound quality. However, I was more than impressed once they connected to my computer. Impressive bass and solid full sound. Music sounds fantastic from this small system, and while the subwoofer delivers more high end than I expected, I can't dispute the results. Really fills the room with sound! I needed them for my new gaming monitor which had pretty average built in speakers and makes games sound great! Rain, thunder, ambient noise, cannons - it all sounds very exciting. So not very disappointed for the $30 I spent! Some cons, the audio cable to connect to the subwoofer is a bit short, had to get an extension cord to put it on the floor. And the sound from the headphone jack is so low it's useless. It's a shame because that would be a very useful feature. In short, this is a great set of small speakers for any monitor that needs serious sound on a budget!
