The calf is too generously cut, otherwise I'd have given this 5 stars. I have a narrow foot, so I took a chance on buying it (M width), based on other reviews. The color is very nice, quality good, leather is soft and boot comfortable all day. Heel detail is interesting and it's a good height. (I wear mostly pretty flat shoes now.) Was pleased to receive compliments from younger women in my office the first time I wore them, so they are modern looking. (I'm decades older.)
