You get what you pay for
I have two of these boxes, one for prescription glasses and one for my oversized sunglasses. They work exactly as I had hoped. The lid closes completely, they fold up nicely, and even my largest sunglasses fit in the slots. They're not pretty, but they're functional. My only issue is that one box came with a crack near one of the hinges. It's not big enough to be traded, but that's annoying.
