I bought these sandals as a cheaper alternative to Teva or Chacos and they were exactly what I was hoping for! We were taking a two week trip to Hawaii so I wanted something to wear on a day trip where I had to climb rocks and also get wet. I wasn't sure how often I would wear them (compared to sneakers or just beach flip flops) but I ended up wearing them almost every day! They fit snugly around my foot so I don't feel like slipping while hiking, but I can also walk down to the beach, jump in a kayak, or cross a creek in them without worrying about wet sneakers. . The ONLY thing I was disappointed with was that one of the toe straps on my right sandals (each foot has 2 small straps that go through the big toe) had stretched. I think I had a bad slip that put my whole leg in an awkward position and sprained one of the toe straps and now it looks weird. That being said all the other elastic straps are still in great condition and I will definitely continue to wear the sandals on other high adventures! PS - I'm usually a size 6 with a rather narrow foot. I ordered both 5.5 and 6. It was a difficult choice. The 5.5s initially felt too tight but I felt my foot would slip too much in 6s even after they were fully tightened. I chose 5.5 and was so glad I did! My foot has adjusted to the firmer grip of the sandals and it hasn't caused me any discomfort during our 14 hour adventure.
