Review on 🍽️ EatSmart Precision CalPal: Digital Bathroom Scale with BMI, Calorie Intake, and High 440 Pound Capacity by Ashley Cook

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inconsistent readings, laborious calibration

The product is neatly designed, hence it gets one star for that, but the readings are great inconsistent. First, zeroing something is tedious and feels like having to do it every time it's used. The instructions for this are unclear, but you don't usually leave a health bar where you're going to use it - you usually put it away somewhere. So if the instructions say it needs to be reset every time it "moves," assume that means before every use. I zero the scale, stand on it, read it, get up, step back on it, and suddenly I've gained half a pound. I usually have to weigh myself at zero plus 3 or 4 times and take the most consistent readings. Just boring and unreliable. I threw away the box and it's inconvenient to return things, but I wouldn't advise buying this scale.

Pros
  • Precise high capacity: 440lb (200kg) capacity in 0.1lb fine increments
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
