Like replaced by like. The old one is about 6 years old, works perfectly, but the battery really drives, so I bought exactly the same model, but not because of a mechanical defect, but because of the battery. Years/winter in the car took their toll on the battery. The blades are still okay on the original. More than I wanted to pay, but it's always more than you want to pay. I will buy the exact same one in 6 years if the model is still in production!
