I love City Threads girls shorts and leggings and that they are made right here in the USA. The elastic band that makes up the shorts and leggings fits perfectly, stretches and stays in place all day long. I can't tell you how many brands we've used that use a very hard elastic band that compresses my daughter's stomach or causes pain from the pressure. So a big THANK YOU to City Threads for getting this part right. Here's my take on sizes; When I first discovered City Threads my daughter was 4 but a size 4 was too tight and the strap was too tight so I had to order a size 5. Now that my daughter is 5 we order a size 7 for two reasons. The first reason is that the size 7 fits snugly around the waist, leaving some room to grow without sagging at the end of the day. The second reason is that the size 7 gives it a looser fit around the hips and buttocks, rather than traditional tight leggings. As my daughter has eczema we need a loose fit because tight clothes make her sweat which can lead to more eczema. I don't think there is a need for sizing as I think any child without eczema would do fine with these clothes but I really wanted to share our experience to hopefully help someone else struggling with eczema.
