Great radio! in Portable Audio & Video

I've been working as a radio amateur for 27 years, I have a top-class license. I go into digital radios and have a few. The FTM-300 is the BOMB for mobile use! Digital on bands A and B, large display, large buttons and MIC! MIC is HOME RUN with its shape and large MUTE button. Both receivers can yell when the phone rings and with a quick press of the large mute button I can answer the call. The menu is intuitive and similar to the FTM-400 and FT-3D (I have both). If you are considering mobile C4FM, this is it! While the touchscreen on the FTM-400 is good, even good in a cabin, I find it cumbersome on a cellphone. The FT-300 doesn't have a touchscreen, only buttons (well-sized and widely spaced) and knobs. I really enjoy having the FTM-300 in my work truck. The internal speaker is excellent, loud enough! I don't need to add external speakers. I say speakers because Yaesu gives you the option to use external speaker jacks for side A and side B, or you can use one external speaker for both areas. But with a factory speaker like his, you probably won't need it. I've had it for a few days now and the more I play with it the more I like it.

Pros
  • Stationary CB radios
Cons
  • I don't remember
