We bought this for our Nikon Coolpix S52 during our recent trip to Jamaica. My husband and I were snorkelers and wanted to take underwater photos but didn't want to spend money on an unreliable 35mm point and click disposable underwater camera and the subsequent cost of film development AND the uncertainty of how the images will come out. We received this about a week before our vacation and tested it extensively at home with the tissue paper that came with it. We put it in a large bowl with water, put a few cans of tomatoes on top and leave for several hours. Then, while we were still underwater, we pushed, pushed, pushed, and pulled on the device to make sure it would hold up in the water. After leaving it overnight with intermittent pushing and poking, we opened the case the next day and the paper was bone dry. . Not a drop of condensation inside. We also bought some silica gel pouches to get in as several other users seemed to find them useful in those cases, but our camera fit so snugly that the silica gel pouches didn't fit. It could be a little bear to snap together. somehow the USB connector doesn't fit like this, like this, but suddenly this way works when it didn't work before. the same applies to this case. It won't break like that, like that, and suddenly this method will work, even though it didn't work before. It doesn't matter, just don't force close. If it doesn't work in one direction, either flip the side rails the other way or flip the back. On leaving and packing the open/close clasp broke on one side making it not waterproof at the time and when we returned home we sent it back for a refund. BUT we will order another one. The photos turned out a lot better than I expected and a lot better than the photos we used to take underwater with a disposable 35mm camera. She also took decent photos from the water while we were kayaking. Flash was not used, so not necessary. I don't know how it worked but I think it will reflect and not work too well. It has a small hole for a bracelet and we have a polaroid floating bracelet that broke the second day we used it so maybe don't get that one (see our review)
