This lens was great value for money. The optics are not very good, but for my purposes it is quite suitable. To be honest I only wanted it to be used on a macro lens, not a cellphone. I use it while holding the lens to the camera body. Provides a great image if you can focus properly. In the photo of the leaf it seems to be in better focus but you can see color highlights at the edge of the leaf veins. One side is yellow. Color separation indicates poor lens quality. The dime photo is better because the depth of field is fixed on a relatively flat surface. The image of the spider shows a very shallow depth of field, with some of the distal limbs in focus while the body is quite blurry. But I am quite satisfied with the usefulness of the pictures for my purposes. For scientific purposes like documenting insects, I'd like something with better optics, coated lenses, etc.
