I have a Magsafe charger from the same brand but sometimes my phone is in a case so I wanted a charging station too. The locking mechanism is impressive. As soon as I put the charger in the holder, the sensor recognizes the phone and locks it automatically. A light touch on one of the side buttons is enough to unlock the phone. To be honest I spent more time playing with the locking mechanism than I should have because it's so much fun. The cradle is big enough even if your suitcase is quite big. I had no problem putting a case on my iPhone 12 Pro max. My car with built-in USB port is not powerful and does not offer the best charging speed. If your car is similar to mine, I highly recommend getting a USB car fast charger (something with 15W or more power). Charging my phone with this charger in combination with the 18W USB car adapter is very fast. This stand doesn't come with a USB adapter and that's the only downside. Overall, I am delighted with this charger and would recommend it.
