Review on 🐠 MingDak LED Aquarium Light: Wireless Remote Control, RGB Colored Changing, Adjustable Brightness - Underwater Submersible Fish Tank LED Light by Keith Mertz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not what I expected though:

I was hoping the light would be brighter. I put it on top of my 30 gallon tank in the original hood and the light wasn't bright at all. I ended up using suction cups to hold it in the glass top tank and it looks better. Unfortunately, the suckers suck - or maybe they don't suck enough - because one of them pops up every week. My solution was to glue the cups together with hot glue. Also, the original fluorescent light almost completely drowns out this light when both are illuminated at the same time. At night, however, it offers a decent light for an office. The only thing I should recommend you is the lack of white light. The W on the remote means it's white, but the LEDs are RGB-lit, so the so-called white is actually blue. I like the remote control feature but wonder how long it will last. When the remote turns off you get stuck on the remote receiver side switching between different colors with no ability to control the brightness, although mine is as bright as it gets. The remote control is very cheap, so I advise you to keep it in a safe place. The price attracted me to the lantern and why I will keep it. I ended up buying a solid 18" white light for my smaller 20 gallon light from the same manufacturer. It wasn't very bright on top of the glass either, but worked great under the glass cover and the suction cups held up.
