Review on ๐ŸŽค Adjustable Electret Microphone Amplifier by Adafruit by Gregory Sirgio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

4 1/2 stars, works as described

Actually 4 1/2 stars rather than 5. Pre-soldering the pins would have been nice but wasn't a big problem. It's a bit of a hassle to find sample code to test, but I'd recommend going to the actual Adafruit website and running the code provided. Yes, this microphone is not that sensitive. It is less than a quarter and does not pretend to have such sensitivity. BUT, at least for me, this is a very simple solution. For example, if you're trying to decode something like a bang, run a few tests and change the threshold according to where you want the bang to come from. All that is required is to change the threshold that "recognizes" cotton. Of course, the distance from the mic can make the gossip register have a whole different meaning, but that's not the mic's fault. If necessary, use several in different places. Works well and corresponds to the description. Will update if I have any problems.
