Review on 💻 DECIONE 15" External Computer Protective Monitor - Portable, 1920X1080P, 60Hz, HDMI by John Bharudin

I learned years ago that a second monitor is a great productivity tool. By focusing mainly on the home screen, being able to park windows nearby for quick access is very useful. This portable monitor is small enough to fit in my laptop bag. It's basically plug and play. At home it sits to the right of my main monitor as shown in the first image. I set it up as an extended monitor so it's easy to move around when needed. At home, a second full-size monitor would be great, but I don't have the desk space to have one - this monitor solves that problem for me. I have a small complaint for which I deducted a star. I'm only offered two resolutions through the Display Link driver and the one I'd like isn't there. (the one I would like would be between the two shown in the photo). I've tried several third-party apps that claim to fix this error, but I couldn't find any that actually work with my setup. As a result, I use it at 1920x1080 and just squint. The cause of the problem could be the monitor, the DL driver, or my Mac M1 laptop - or a combination of both. In any case, it influences how satisfied I am. I had the opportunity to contact DECIONE and I can tell you that their response was excellent. The monitor I received had Chinese as the default language. DECIONE sent me pictures that helped me set it up in English (and I took the liberty of including them in this review). Using the pictures and paying close attention to the Chinese characters, I was able to properly build and work through the languages until I found English. This may have been an isolated incident, but I've included it in case you come across it as well. If you're thinking of a portable monitor or a second monitor on your desktop, take a look at this one.
