Right off the bat, I need to say that I am over 70 years old, and I still crank up my Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, and Led Zeppelin CD's. Over the years I have had a ton of earphones.These sound great. Provided you don't want the base to give yourself permanent hearing damage.I saw some negative reviews about the size. These are fine for average size adult heads. If you wear a 7 1/2 size men's cap, they will be a little snug. The difference is a solid head band versus one thin metal band. The thin metal band flexes more.These are normal sized headphones.The sound is great. Plenty of base, mid tones stand out, and high tones are clear, but not "tinny."They block out outside noise, but you can still hear someone yell "HELP."I will recommend this headphone to all my family, and friends.
