Bought this for my daughter, who is an art fanatic. She spends a lot of time on watercolor and other paint media, and I thought this would be a great way for her to try her hand at digital art.So far she loves it. The drawing area is textured, but, still a little slick, so it takes some getting used to. The buttons seem to function as they should. Since she's drawing in the tablet while watching the screen, it's really a whole new world for her. Obviously, it's like learning to draw all over again. She's currently using it with Krita and Medibang, and is putting out some pretty decent art for someone who has never used a digital drawing tablet before. The only problem area she's having is that same thing I experienced - the programmable soft keys at the top do not seem to work in Krita. Not sure if it's Krita issue or a driver problem. She hasn't tried to use them in Medibang.If you're considering this (or any) tablet for yourself or someone else, just realize it's a new way of drawing. An accomplished artist would probably adapt fairly quickly once they get used to the 'new way' of drawing. For beginners who don't yet have great control over a real pencil on paper, I cannot imagine this being the best way to learn - I could be wrong. Probably a caveot emptor situation.I've used two Huion devices myself - the MS610 and a Kamvas Pro 16. I have no issues whatsoever with Huion products, they've come a LONG way. Close to Wacom quality for less money. However, just remember, a tool is only as good as the person wielding it. Nobody will become an artist overnight just because they bought a drawing tablet. Stick with it, and the results will come. For the money, I'm not sure these devices can be beat.
