The mug is big and beautiful, but the ceramic it's made of wicks heat away from liquids. I've tried heating the mug in the microwave before making tea, but the material gets so warm after 30 seconds that it's too hot to hold the mug. So while the cups are attractive, I didn't like them. If you want a quick cup of coffee or tea, this may be the perfect mug for you. However, if you accidentally drink your drink within 10-15 minutes or so and want the liquid to stay warm, you should probably avoid this mug.
