Review on Village Naturals Combining Essential Extracts by Karen Perez

love love love taste! Wish it was a bubble bath

The smell is amazing. It is a blend of juniper (balances and regenerates), orange (renews and rejuvenates) and menthol (calms and relaxes). When I take the cap off I can immediately smell the menthol which clears my sinuses instantly. But I like it because it has a pleasant freshness of juniper and citrus. I also like that this is a fairly natural product. Village Naturals claims this product is 99.51% natural. It contains sea salt, Epsom salt, cornstarch, vitamins A, B2, C and E, and various natural extracts in addition to those mentioned above. The directions call for using about 1/3 cup under the running water. . I just look at it and shake what seems like the right amount. Based on how much I've used I could probably get around 6-7 uses from this 20 ounce bottle. The crystals immediately disintegrate and a fresh, invigorating scent fills my bathroom. There is no foam or bubbles but I checked their website and they have a foaming bath oil with the same scent. Crystals also do not change the color of the water. Although I usually prefer sudsy bath products, I fell in love with the Stress and Tension Mineral Bath Soak straight away. It makes the water nice and soft and my skin feels a lot better afterwards. I would definitely say it is less drying than a foaming product. The smell also lasts quite a long time, although it's not that important to me. I use it at night when I just need a quick 10 minute bath (save foam products for long baths) to warm up and relax before bed. It is definitely a calming scent that helps relieve stress. It reminds me of a lot of the scents used in spas, so it feels really classy and luxurious. All in all a very good bath product. It's a bit bland because it doesn't change the color of the water, the fizz, or the bubbles of the product, but the flavor makes up for those shortcomings. 4 stars.
