I bought a pole set with snap connectors. These 6ft 6in tall poles connect easily and are strong. I use them with a 10 x 10 foot tarp to cover on a camping picnic table to provide shade from the hot Texas sun or to keep out the rain. I like that each pole has 5 equal length sections. This makes it easy to use 3 or 4 to keep my tarp lower to the ground to cover my small tent. The bag that came with it was also big enough to fit in my tarp, so everything is now in one easy-to-carry bag.
