This light stand is designed for UV light, useful for disinfecting viruses and bacteria but harmful to human skin and eyes. The light stand is equipped with a timer that can be set to turn on after a 30 second delay, allowing the user to move away from the light before it turns on. If the user understands the purpose of the timer, the user will be able to figure out the buttons without reading the user manual (the user manual is written in good English). There is a big red power button which is the main switch for turning the light stand on and off. Strangely, there is another power button that should be labeled "now/off" (see below). Here's how it works: after the user turns on the red switch, (1) the user must press the "time" (duration) button to specify how long the light should remain on; Options: 30, 60, 90 and 0 minutes. Then (2) the user must press either the power button or the delay button. Pressing the "On/Off" button will turn on the light immediately without any delay; Pressing the "Delay" button delays the light by 30 seconds. The interface is a bit awkward, with the power button on the left, the time button in the middle, and the delay button on the right.
