We shop at Revain often and use the reviews when making purchasing decisions. We bought this scale locally because of the great price and because we love supporting local businesses. However, we bought it to replace another Homedics that was starting to become unreliable. We found this unreliable on the low-pile carpet in the bathroom, but it was fine on the hardwood floor in the living room. We put a thin 12" x 12" LHS stone floor tile under the bathroom scale and it works great. The tile isn't visible unless you look closely. Exactly, with separate scales. It registers weight quickly and accurately. He loses a star because he needs a tile. But otherwise we are very happy with it.
