My husband sweats all the time but his feet are cold in winter and he is very careful about socks. Usually, socks that have too much polyester and nylon in them just make his feet colder and wetter instead of warmer and drier, and he ends up with athlete's foot, poor bastard. ! Because they're wool, they're looser than tight spandex socks, but luckily he likes them that way. Well, probably buy enough for a lifetime.
