This is my favorite storage container for watermelon! I hate when you have those water logged pieces of watermelon laying at the bottom of your bowl. With these containers, you elevate the produce and keep it out of it's own juices plus you allow it to continue draining after you wash it. In the summer, I make a lot of things with zucchini. I will grate up several and squeeze out much of the liquid. I will then store it overnight in one of these containers and in the morning it is shocking how much more liquid as drained away. Great for soaking dried beans too before cooking them too. The little containers are great for lunches and storing things like berries. I also like taking the basket part out to the garden when harvesting lettuce and other produce. I can give the basket a little shake to loosen any dirt or knock off any bugs and leave them in the garden. Then I come inside and take the basket right to the sink to wash my veggies and let them drain. The locking lids do not leak and the removable gaskets come out for complete cleaning. I have been hand-washing these to keep them looking like new and so far I am very pleased with their performance! The carry handle makes them easy to transport and take food to a party, but plan ahead and clearly label these with your name, because if not, you won't get them back, your friends will walk off with them or "forget" to return them to you! These are reasonably priced too, so get your friends their own set!
