Caveat: my first IPS panel. If this is your first IPS panel, you won't like the glow. It seems reasonable by category comparison, but compared to the old TN it's a night light. Likewise, "black" just isn't that black. If it's a deal breaker, this technology isn't for you. While we're on "poor," the display ports are only v1.2 and there's no downstream capability. You still can't get HDR at those lumens, so don't worry. Great, now "okay". Although I didn't need it, the stand is so good I kept it. Skirt-sold and easily adjustable. All kinds of cables/adapters were included. The overall build is similar - sleek and compact like the XPS 13, which easily connects via USB-C. However, the laptop is not the primary source and is easily receiving data (move USB-C) and full-resolution video (DP) from the workstation. My spreadsheet/programming/engineering life has improved a lot. If you're into photo/video editing or need a high-contrast gaming bar, this might not be for you. If you don't want perfect colors or HDR, you'll save a few $100 on a good display and probably won't notice a difference.
