We bought them for a recent trip to California. We planned to spend the weekend at amusement parks with little to no shade. These fans kept us cool all day. We got about 5 hours of use from a full charge. After that they closed. The cord is articulated so the fans can be held on the armature, allowing a direct breeze to hit your face and neck. The fans have three speeds: low, medium and high. High wasn't distracting. Very convenient. The blades are almost silent. We were very happy with this purchase!
