Pros: 144Hz display Price Cons: Serious hearing problems This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with a computer built by a manufacturer. I bought my original device in June 2018 and bought it primarily for LAN use so I don't have to lug around my desktop. The first time it was actually used in a game was a little over a month after purchase (too late for amazons, no questions asked return policy) and it was awful. Games tested where CSGO (low settings), Quake Champions (also low settings), Civ V (medium settings) all showed signs of stuttering after about 20 minutes of gameplay before the framerate dropped to 20fps or below. Sent original unit for repair, they changed motherboard and sent it back for me to test, same problems. 2nd broadcast round - they replaced the radiator, which also did not stop the overheating. In the third round they reinstalled Windows (I told them many times that I already did that and it was also damaged in shipping and they tried to make me pay for the damage) didn't help. They took that block away and replaced it with a new block that was supposed to work "better than the previous one". So the second block has the same problems as the first, if not worse. I'm still having trouble getting a refund from Acer. Latest News: I sent the Level 3 rep a video of the issue and he said he would review the video with his engineers. I haven't heard anything since then. I will update this review with more information if they ever get back to me. Attached is a video of the problem (ignore my lack of knowledge of earthquakes). Edit: There is STILL an open support ticket. They tried to give me a 'different model', in the end it was the same computer with an additional 1TB drive and no 144Hz panel. (Adding the spinner's own heat will certainly help with thermals). At the moment they are trying to sell me a replacement that doesn't match the specs of the original laptop. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to get a working machine over the past six months trying to get my money back now.
