Update: Plastic has come loose from nose. I can still use them, but they no longer protect against scratches. I still love them very much for fixing glasses. I was concerned if they would work on my family's glasses. Four of us wear glasses and getting them fixed quickly without scheduling a visit to the optician has become a priority. I have no regrets as these are powerful, professional quality tools that make repairing all of our frames quick and easy.
