Although we were only out on the lawn of our condo and not in the woods we decided to try a few of these first before relying on them for a long hike. We used our fire pit to recreate the situation we would be cooking in, including being outside in 10 degrees Fahrenheit. These are well prepared. We have our own hiking spices which we usually bring - once added they became quite attractive. I can only imagine how good they will taste after walking a few miles through the woods. Definitely worth the price. It's really nice to have a vegan option to take with you on your hike as I'm vegan and he's vegetarian.
