Wouldn't recommend them

Ordering a size up was absolutely correct in terms of fit. I really had to buy foot pads for these shoes as I don't wear heels very often personally. ** To update. I've had these shoes for about a month and one of the toe cross straps just snapped at the attachment point. I'm disappointed too, why is the sewn-in point of the strap so short? Also, the ankle straps are quite short and for someone like me with big ankles they actually cut into the foot. Not very comfortable and no cushioning. I can wear them for about an hour before I have to sit down and as I dance about 3-4 hours a night these are not very good shoes. I bought some foot pads to make up for the lack of cushioning but gave up when the shoes became tighter in the foot area when putting them on. The insole of the boot will also crack and chip so much that the top of the outsole is exposed. These shoes should last at least 6 months for the $40 I paid for them. I will soon buy real tango shoes.
