I only recommend buying this shoe if you need something cheap for a beginner. Plan to upgrade to something better in the near future. These boots are good for climbing, nothing special. They're tough but comfortable. It is clear that these are not aggressive shoes. However, they didn't last long - I have less than a year. The sock fell apart and I can no longer use it. I wrote to Scarpa about it but they said it was normal wear and tear and they didn't cover it under their warranty. I just have to say that my other climbing shoes (La Sportiva) have been in use for 2 years. I definitely need to redo the sole with these shoes, but I can still climb in them, no problem. So for me the toe separation on my Scarpas is not normal wear and tear and a design flaw.
