Good product but not working properly

I bought this to charge my iPhone in the car and play a new DVD/CD player connected to my audio system. My car didn't have a CD player, only a digital interface. I needed a splitter so my phone and CD player could work from the same USB jack. This will prevent the features from working properly with the sound system when both are connected. itself.
