There really wasn't anything to assemble on this ring light other than a base that snaps onto almost anything. The padding inside the clip keeps the clip from damaging anything including my laptop and even my tablet. What I love about this flashlight is that I can plug it directly into my laptop, a USB socket, or even a power bank if needed. The flashlight itself is very light and weighs nothing like the top of my laptop. The remote control is fully attached to the cable and very easy to use. To turn it on, I just press the power button. To change the different colors of the light I press M and I can change the color of the light. If I want the light to get brighter or dimmer, I just press the arrow keys. I can even do it when I'm online and you won't see me doing it on video. The perfect amount of light for my decent work area.
