Review on ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ MAONO AU-PM401 USB Microphone - 192KHz/24Bit Zero Latency Monitoring - Ideal for Podcasting, Gaming, YouTube, Streaming, Recording Music - Cardioid Condenser Mic with Mute Button by Michelle Cooper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great optics, good stand + bracket, easy to set up, too quiet?

This mic comes with a solid stand which works well and connects via USB and the pop filter just screws onto the stand so everything works fine but I had a few issues. Difficulty using the microphone. Microphone assembly, microphone mount, microphone stand, anti-pop quality, USB cable length - 5/5 Built-in 3.5mm jack for microphone audio monitoring - 5/5 Microphone quality 5/5 Microphone sensitivity microphone 4/5 Microphone kit price - 5/5 5 Overall 4.5/5 I wish Revain would allow me to give that 4.5 stars because I'm not even sure if it's the mic's fault or myself, but I have the mic levels set to 100% in my Windows audio settings and the mic is not too far from me - it's right above my monitor. So if it were closer, it would block my view of the computer, which is kind of counterintuitive for a USB-enabled microphone. I'm not sure if it's just because it's not phantom power or if I'm just missing something. Either way, it's quieter than my much cheaper desktop mic, and there's no physical volume/sensitivity adjustment to compensate. Maybe it's better if it's used for high-end applications like music recording, but it seems obvious that this is also intended for general PC users (podcasters, gamers, YouTubers), so a bit more variability would be nice. Everything else has been great and I haven't had any technical issues using it so far.
