I can't confirm "taste" because I don't eat cat food. And my cat eats it. He can be picky depending on his mood, but he does well with new foods. He was once a hungry abandoned cat that we adopted. Suddenly he got a little chubby. Although we still mix it with a teaspoon (or more) of wet food, it decreases. This is a good product but at least for my cat it needs to be flavored with a teaspoon of wet food, tuna oil or sardine. Definitely not enough to break the bank. yes i recommend
