A piece of heaven every day!

This is a rave review I love love love this robe. I'm 5ft 6in, 165lbs and this robe fits me perfectly. I washed it before wearing it and the sleeves are about 1 inch long, wash temperature = cool, tumble dry = delicate. I did NOT bake it in the dryer! And I never will as I try to dry my clothes carefully or hang things on clothes lines. Sleeve shrinkage is good because now they fit just above the wrist and won't interfere when I'm brewing coffee, washing dishes, the length didn't take it off but the hem comes down about an inch below the knee which I like because I don't want the top of my leg to be visible when I have nothing under my robe and I cross my legs when i read the newspaper etc. .and others around . I bought this robe to take with me when staying with friends for a month; I wanted a cute but simple robe that covers well/not see through and is easy to put on - I said how cool is that strap at the back!? And the belt is long enough to tie in the front no matter the waist size. I think a pregnant girl would wear this even in late pregnancy. I bought the mandala print chicks and I am very happy with how cute, different and quirky they are. As a bird lover, chickens were a must, but the combination of gem colored chickens with a pastel colored mandala print is so unique; the background is not white but cream/ecru/light beige. And also. To top it off, as I'm a cotton and natural fiber freak, this is the softest, lightest cotton flannel fabric I've ever worn on my body - I'm wearing it on deck and enjoying the early morning chill this summer. . However, these are not garments that can be worn in really hot temperatures. It looks more like flannel cotton than a shirt/blouse. This robe is worth every penny. As a seamstress, I appreciate a small number of stitches per inch. All stitching is finished and the overall construction is very well done. After washing and drying not a single seam came undone. This is made in India and the company must ensure the fabric is cut correctly by not placing the pattern pieces at an angle to save fabric but by observing correct placement on the warp and weft. It drives me nuts when you're washing a jumpsuit and the seams get twisted because they're cheap and don't cut the pattern right. The only thing I'd suggest to the manufacturer - and I'll admit that's really ridiculously picky - is that the robe could use a loop around the neck so it can be hung on a hook. I have hooks in my closet for bathrobes to hang on and one on the back of the bathroom door. There are no loops unfortunately, but I can easily add one to make this the PERFECT ROBE!

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
