I was very happy to get this bike phone holder and installed it right after opening the box. After a few bike rides (on asphalt) I'm really disappointed with the screw that allows it to rotate around the mounting ball. DO NOT overtighten and the phone will just vibrate unintelligibly and end up just ending up in the rubber band that looks like a thing. Well it's tight but I don't think the rubber band broke. I left the phone in the holder for an hour and it got a lot better. I took the bike for a 'green road ride' today and the keeper did a great job. The nut on the back of the holder that fixes the ball and holds the phone in place is quite difficult to attach the phone. I'll play with it later, I'm hesitant to use pliers. I bought this to mount my phone on it while I ride a motorbike. The speedometer on my bike is ridiculously inaccurate. With this mount I can use the Speedo GPS app so I know how fast I'm going. I can also use the GPS app on my phone to navigate! It's worth spending the extra money to buy a metal mount so you can push the clamp down and tighten it onto the handlebars. Disappointing. The clip comes with rubber inserts or spacers that allow you to attach the holder to your handlebars. You can add one or two. Even with two handlebar circumferences, it is not enough to tighten it all the way down, so that the bracket falls forwards or backwards after a few rides. Pretty good for so much money. I installed it on my 2015 Yamaha XT250 and it fits very well. The ball and mount are made of metal, while the mount and holder are made of heavier plastic. Everything stays in a comfortable position. I just put this on my bike and was having a really hard time holding the phone base. I tried to tighten it as hard as I could and it was still moving. I tried overtightening it I think and the nut broke. I was very upset that I couldn't tighten it properly. I just got another nut from another phone holder for my car that fits. It's MUCH better quality and actually secures the phone holder perfectly, leading me to believe the problem is with the mother and not the holder or something. Stupid…

This thing is meant for moving, but it's designed to hold the phone with a spring. The curved part of the bracket is not shaped enough to hold the phone. Any bump and it flies out of the bracket (I did twice on the first ride. If there was another way they would have to give the direction, which they didn't and maybe this would help.
