I've never been a fan of mattress pads because they're noisy and hot. After some research I came across this mattress topper. There are many reviews of this mattress topper, mostly good, but there are also not very good ones. If you are looking for a mattress topper that is 100% waterproof (meaning it absorbs a lot of liquid or liquids frequently) then this mattress topper is NOT for you. This mattress topper is more water resistant, which means if you spill something on the bed (or have kids) and clean it up quickly, it won't soak into the mattress topper, but if left uncleaned some liquid will eventually seep through the mattress. Pads Well, having said all that, here's why I bought the mattress topper. Since I'm a heavy sleeper, a traditional mattress topper was out of the question. They will radiate heat from my body and I will sweat like I'm running a marathon. Another reason was the noise, the rustling of a traditional mattress pad drives me insane. This pillow has neither. The vast majority of reviews have confirmed this, which is why I bought it. The upholstery consists of several layers of dense umbrella fabric, and the sides also have umbrella fabric. Overall I am very happy with this mattress topper and it should protect my memory foam mattress topper for years to come.
