I've been looking for a heart rate monitor for a long time, but didn't want a chest strap. I thought it would be really uncomfortable so I started looking at bracelets. Well, many bracelets cost more than $$, probably for the same reason - more people want them for the comfort and convenience. Then I saw complaints about accuracy or response times etc regardless of the price. So I wanted something to go with my new spin bike setup that I use for Kinomap and such for winter indoor training. I didn't want to spend more on a heart rate monitor than I would on a speed/cadence sensor ($20-$35 range). Well, most heart rate sensors on wristbands were out of that price range. Then I found this little gadget. It is accurate with my pulse oximeter, connects easily and quickly via BT 4.0 (don't waste your time with less than 4.0) and has a built-in rechargeable battery. The charger is magnetic and only fits in one direction for correct polarity - the magnet won't let you connect incorrectly - it repels. Therefore, even if the wire is not labeled, it is intuitive. The battery seems to have a good charge capacity, because when I first used it, it hardly needed charging. It does everything I need and plays well with Kinomap on an iPad or tablet. I even checked a foreign direct website (hint: starts with Ali) and couldn't find a better deal than this. Recommended. Note. The only thing I can't judge is the waterproof rating (IP67) as I've only used it indoors and I don't find it difficult to exercise at room temperature.
