Very nice rear view picture

Installation was easy. I installed it in a hatchback SUV. It has never occurred to me that I have reversing lights on the sunroof, but this may not always be the case on other hatchbacks, so it is worth checking before buying. I was a bit surprised that there was no rubber grommet for the sunroof. The hole had to be drilled behind the license plate to allow the cables to fit into the tailgate. No big deal, just screwed some RTV in to secure the wires. I installed the camera so that it was on top of the license plate and there was a little in the way of the sunroof button. That means you have to reach around the chamber to open the hatch. I only did it because it made sense to me. The bottom holes were not cut in the license plate frame and I can change that later if it bothers me. Overall I'm happy with it and it does exactly what I wanted, giving me a look right behind the sunroof which is otherwise hidden, so I'm more confident now that I'm not hitting anything low behind me. Minor cons: There is some intermittent noise when the camera turns on for a few seconds. The colors appear to be inverted and then back to normal. It doesn't really disturb the view as I'm still standing or driving very slowly in those few seconds, but it happens. To mount the screen I used a suction cup on the dashboard with a magnet which then holds the screen to the suction cup mount. On my very first walk with it, the piece of metal on the back of the screen holding the magnet broke off the screen as the car got warm while driving. So I removed the glue from the metal, sanded down the metal where the glue was and then did the same to the plastic on the screen where the metal was stuck and super glued them together. It seems to be working fine, has been working for a week with no problems.
