Ran about 80 miles on firm snow and ice in 4 months. I had to fix several times with pliers where the chains separated from where they connect to the spikes. Not a big deal to fix. Eventually it became too broken to fix. They did their job very well - they were able to go up and down the slopes very safely. I wear size 14 boots and XL chains fit well. Edit: I upgraded this from 3 stars to 4 after buying another brand that had a stripe across the tip of the toe in the design. Very painful to go down as the bar digs into the ankles of the toes while they have more of an X-shaped toe pattern. Much more convenient.
